Oregon (OR) lottery results
The Oregon Lottery (OL) is the longest-running government-operated lottery in the US. It was founded in 1982, and it continues to be one of the most popular forms of gambling in Oregon. From 1965 to 1981, five companies operated private lotteries in Oregon. However, due to unreliable winnings and complaints from players that machines were malfunctioning during drawings, OL became established as a nonprofit organization that would ensure all prizes were paid out. To this day, OL is still one of the biggest supporters of Oregon education.

How to play the lottery
OL offers a large variety of lottery games, including the most popular Powerball and Megabucks. In order to play OL’s games, players must purchase a ticket from one of OL’s authorized sellers. Each ticket costs $1 per play on scratch tickets but varies for other draw games. When it comes time to choose numbers, there are a couple of different options: quick pick or choose-your-own-numbers. The more ways you have to win, the more expensive your ticket will be.

The Oregon Lottery (OL) is the longest-running government-run lottery in the United States. OL began operations on July 15, 1982, and has established itself as a stable revenue source for Oregon schools and other state programs.
The odds of winning and how much you can win are determined by the type of game and how many numbers you play. For instance, if you choose to play Powerball (lottery draw), then your lottery ticket will cost $2, and you can win up to $1 million; however, if you want to win big playing Mega Millions (another lottery draw), it might cost more like $5 per ticket because there is a possibility of winning up to $100 million.
Oregon Prize
Double or Nothing on the other hand is a bigger gamble, but the prices are higher as well—the risk versus reward is bigger. You have a 50 percent chance of winning twice your bet by simply guessing correctly one time, but it would be only a quarter of what you put in for guessing incorrectly both times.
Ways to increase your chance of winning, including scratch-off tickets and other games like Keno, are available at the Oregon Lottery’s website. And remember, winning doesn’t have to come in a big check. Just being able to say that you won is worth all the time and effort you put into playing—and it may just be as rewarding as hitting a run or hitting a shot from half-court.
